Green Fellowships Available - Deadline Nov. 4!

Green Fellowships are available to fund projects exploring fifty years of student-led advancement of social justice, sustainable technology, and environmental sustainability at UC Davis.  Two Green Fellows will be selected and will receive $4,000 each this academic year. This funding is to inspire students to implement a project about the history of social justice and environmental sustainability at UC Davis.

Each fellowship will include an award of $4,000 in direct financial support for the student and an award of up to $2,500 to be used as directed by the adviser to the project for mentorship support or supplies. The first year of Green Fellowships will be awarded in the fall of 2018 so projects can be presented at the time of  the 50th Whole Earth Festival in May 2019 either as a part of the Whole Earth Festival or in the context of an Sustainable Living and Learning Communities Open House at the time of the Festival.  If the Fellowship project will be presented at the Whole Earth Festival, the Fellow is expected to communicate with WEF student leadership throughout their project to ensure coordination. Green Fellows will not be paid members of the WEF staff. The Green Fellowship is open to all students in all majors who have at least a 2.5 GPA.
