Three words to describe me: Adventurous, Responsible, Compassionate
In what ways has engaging in undergraduate research impacted your future goals and plans?
When I was at UC Davis I didn't really know if research was for me, thanks to CAMP I got to test out the hypothesis. Even though, the research that I participated in was not for me, it did lead me to the area that I am very passionate about. It also gave me the basic skills necessary to get involve in Global Health research. I am thankful that undergraduate research gave me the opportunity to explore different options with the guidance of the UC Davis faculty and people involved with CAMPS.
What preparation and research experience did you have before applying to your research program?
I had no previous research experience before participating in CAMP.
What advice do you have for other undergraduate students seeking research experiences?
I would advise everyone to take part in research, and explore how research is outside of class to really understand what kind of things interests them. Having hands on experiences are much better to really understand if this is the path that you want to continue in.
What else would you like us to know about you?
My lab is now the world!
