Research Experience/Topic: Electrochemical CO2 Reduction
Treasure Warren graduated with a B.S. in Environmental Chemistry in Spring 2019. During her undergraduate academic career she performed research on electrochemical CO2 reduction under Dr. Jesús Velázquez in the Chemistry Department. During her time at UC Davis, as a student she was a MURPPS member, and also worked with Risk and Safety Solutions. She recently transition to becoming full-time staff with Risk and Safety Solutions as a Business Analyst, with a focus on Chemical Safety. She is continuing her research in chemical oceanography and will present at the SACNAS Diversity in STEM conference in October of 2019. Treasure is looking forward to applying to graduate school in 2020.
Treasure had this to say about the MURPPS program: “I had a wonderful time participating in MURPPS. The program helped me develop confidence in my abilities as a researcher and as a public speaker. The most valuable aspect of the program was learning how to network and talk about science with other researchers, faculty, and students.” – TREASURE WARREN – Chemistry, MURPPS 2017-2018
