MAXIMIZING YOUR RESEARCH CONFERENCE EXPERIENCE: 5 STRATEGIES TO EXCEL + POSTER PRESENTATION TIPS

This workshop is designed for undergraduate and graduate students who may be first-time conference attendees. Learn how to enjoy this valuable upcoming experience with key travel tips, poster research competition strategies, networking preparation, and how to navigate large-scale career and graduate student expos.

Presenter: Diana Lizarraga works at UC Berkeley as E&I Executive Director & is also a UC Davis Educational Leadership Grad Student. Diana has taught research poster design for over 20 years and has served as a poster judge at several conferences.  She also has attended and organized several student groups to present at statewide and national research conferences. Diana is also a UC Davis alum of McNair, NSF CAMP, MURALS, CALESS, and EOP and she enjoys sharing her expertise with students.

In partnership with the UC Davis Core Lab Facilities, we are thrilled to invite you to an exclusive opportunity to tour a lab facility!  Students will learn about state-of-the-art technologies in core facilities through guided tours and interactive sessions. We aim to give student participants valuable insights into cutting-edge research and technological advancements in various STEM disciplines. Spaces are limited. Registration closes on October 12th
