General Information and Application Instructions


  • Faculty nominees must be members of the Academic Senate.
  • Faculty nominees may be associated with any major, college or school at UC Davis.

Faculty May be Nominated by:

  • Undergraduate students
  • Post docs, graduate students or staff
  • Academic senate or federation members

Nomination Instructions:

  • No more than one nomination letter, per candidate, may be submitted.
  • The nomination letter may be no more than 2 pages long, 12 point font, single spaced.
  • No more than two supporting letters, per candidate may be submitted.
  • Supporting letters may be no more than 2 pages long, 12 point font, single spaced.
  • Candidates are evaluated by the Chancellor’s Award Selection Committee.

Submission Instructions:

The nominator uploads the letter of nomination online and lists up to two supporting letter writers.  An email will automatically be sent to the supporting letter writers asking them to upload their letters of support.  However, the nominator should solicit supporting letters of the deadline. Please use the following file naming format for your letter:

facultylastname_firstinitial_nomination.pdf or facultylastname_firstinitial_letterofsupport.pdf
